Description: The Apalachicola National Forest is comprised of 565,000 acres of varied terrain, and is the largest National Forest in Florida. Apalachicola National Forest provides a view of an ecosystem that includes longleaf pines, wiregrass, savannahs, and wetlands.
Personal Notes: I have only been able to visit the forest once due to its distance from my home. On my visit I got to explore only a small slice of the park. The best photo opportunities at the time of my visit were the wildflowers and carnivorous plants including pitcher plants and sundews.
