| Description: Corkscrew swamp sanctuary has a 2.25-mile raised boardwalk that takes visitors through four distinct environments: a pine upland, a wet prairie, a cypress forest, and a marsh. Corkscrew is one of the best known birding spots in South Florida. |
| Personal Notes: Corkscrew swamp provides one of the best opportunities for having close encounters with hawks and owls along with a wide variety of migratory and resident songbirds. The boardwalk is best first thing in the morning and gets crowded by 10:30 and on weekends. |
