| Description: Ding Darling NWR has been one of the premier birding locations in South Florida. Unfortunately took a hit with the hurricanes two years ago and hasn't quite recovered. |
| Personal Notes: I have only been once since the hurricane season of 2004 due to the damage and the cost of going. I believe the toll to get to Sanibel is 6 dollars and then you still have to pay the refuge fee. Hopefully nature hweals itself and it returns to its former glory. Best photography at low tide. |
