Big Creek: Located on the Eastern side of the Smokies. Good place to get away from the crowds. Nice river scenes and a very photogenic Mouse Creek Falls. (pics 1-5)
Cosby: Also on the Eastern side of the Smokies. Another quiet place. Less scenic hike and waterfall (Hen Wallow Falls). (pic 6)
Greenbrier: Close to Gatlinburg, yet very quiet and peaceful. Very pretty although somewhat rigorous hike 4 miles each way to reach the Ramsey Cascades which is the highest waterfall in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. (pics 7-15)
