My purpose for building this website is to share my love of nature and wildlife (mainly from Florida) with friends, family, and the general public through my photographs. Of course selling a few pictures would be nice and eventually I would love to make a living off of my photography, but that is a future goal.

I have always been interested in and enjoyed spending time in natural areas and looking for wildlife. One of my major goals is to use my pictures to help protect wildlife and natural areas (especially in Florida). Please contact me if I can help any individuals or groups working toward this goal.

My biggest interest is the Everglades ecosystem, begining up in the Kissimmee River basin down to Lake Okeechobee and on down to the Big Cypress and the main part of the Everglades. I do 75% of my photography in this region and am always disturbed by the ever encroaching development. One area that I consider to be very important that will soon be under development pressure is Three Lakes Wildlife Management Area. This area is home to the greatest concentration of nesting bald eagles in the lower 48 states in addition to other endangered species such as Whooping Cranes. Development surrounding Disney and Kissimmee continues to drift further and further south and is fast approaching this valuable area.

For further information about the Everglades you can read the classic The Everglades: River of Grass by Marjory Stoneman Douglas and The Swamp by Michael Grunwald.
